Biographical Sketch

Peggy Nelson is a designer, new media artist and writer, and works as the Senior UX Designer at Harvard Business School, where she designs role-playing simulations and games for MBAs.

Peggy's work has been featured in Boston CyberArts, The Boston Globe's Brainiac column, Ladyfest in Los Angeles, San Francisco’s ATA Gallery and Southern Exposure, the Conflux Festival in Brooklyn, BASIC.fm (Newcastle-upon-Tyne), Radiophrenia FM (Glasgow), Cities and Memory (Oxford, UK), Shiraz Art House (Iran) and The Dark. Outside (Scotland).

Her essays on art and technology have appeared in Berfrois, Craig Baldwin's OtherZine, Nieman Storyboard at Harvard University, and HiLobrow, where she also served as Arts Editor; and she has done site-specific installations in Boston, Berlin, San Francisco, and Burning Man.

Interviews with Peggy have appeared in Jack Move Magazine, Nieman Storyboard, OtherZine, and on podcasts including Erik Davis' Expanding Mind, and Critical Wit. Her films have shown at SXSW, the Santa Cruz Film Festival, the Dallas Video Festival, Boston Cinema Census, and TV.

Peggy is a member of IADAS, the International Association of Digital Arts and Sciences, and has been a judge for the Webby Awards since 2001.
